We’re busy gearing up to The Nottinghamshire County Show here at Newark Tourist Information Centre. It’s always a great show to attend with a real traditional feel and makes a wonderful day out for visitors of all ages. There’s loads to see; from farmyard animals all vying for the prestigious first prize rosette to displays of vintage vehicles, show jumping, and birds of prey to name but a few. This year there is special tribute to the D Day Landings with a Living History World War 2 encampment and a selection of vintage army vehicles. There really is something for everyone.
My colleagues and I will be there on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th May with lots of ideas to make the most out of your visit to the Newark and Sherwood area so do drop by, we’d love to see you.
If you haven’t bought your Show tickets yet, make sure you call in to the Tourist Information Centre next to the Riverside car park to take advantage of the pre-show discount. You can save £4 on each adult ticket by buying them in advance. We are open 10.00am – 4.00pm, seven days a week so hope to see you soon!
